A recent Sherwood Park News story highlights a no-cost seven-week First Tee – Alberta program at Broadmoor Public Golf Course that introduced local youth to golf this summer.
Supported through the RBC Community Junior Golf initiative and led by First Tee coach Harmeet Khalon, the program provided young participants with an opportunity to learn golf skills in an accessible and welcoming environment, at no cost to participate. The initiative helps reduce financial barriers to the sport while giving youth the chance to build confidence and develop core values they can carry beyond the golf course.
Broadmoor Public Golf Course is one of several First Tee – Alberta program locations supported through RBC Community Junior Golf, helping create more opportunities for youth in communities across the province to discover the game.
