1997
First Tee Begins
It all started with a question: Why don’t more kids play golf? In 1997, a partnership among the LPGA, the Masters Tournament, the PGA of America, the PGA TOUR, and the USGA looked to make that question a thing of the past. To find the answer, they formed First Tee.
2020
Golf Canada Partners With First Tee to Establish First Tee — Canada
In 2020, Golf Canada partnered with First Tee to launch First Tee – Canada. Together, the partnership will bring First Tee’s youth development emphasis to strengthen Golf Canada’s junior golf activities – previously conducted under the Future Links brand – that reach kids in communities, schools, and golf facilities. Golf Canada will serve as the national headquarters of First Tee – Canada.
2021
Launch of first Provincial Chapters
First Tee – Canada, which is operated by Golf Canada, serves as the national First Tee headquarters in the country. In 2021, First Tee — Canada launched multiple chapters to lead First Tee operations in their respective regions. The inaugural First Tee — Canada chapters launched in 2021 include:
